From infancy to old age, the physical stresses and strains of everyday working/playing environments create muscle, connective tissue, joint, and bone imbalances. These imbalances then cause our bodies to inappropriately adapt and/or accommodate inefficient positions and movements which, in turn create premature wear and tear, pain and injury. Foundation Fitness specifically addresses imbalance in the body and brings parity to muscles, connective tissue, joints and bones by training using only body weight as resistance in functional positions and movements, standing/lying on the floor, sitting on a chair, or pushing on a wall. For trainers of all types, the Foundation Fitness exercises represent the ground work for their clients - regardless of their ability level. These protocols are great for everyone from youth to performance athletes to baby boomers. The essential elements of any functional workout are Stability, Mobility, and Flexibility. Foundation Fitness brings these elements back to the body and creates a solid foundation on which to develop even further. Foundation Fitness protocols require little or no equipment to create fully productive routines. All that is required is a floor, a wall, a chair, and a small beachball (optional). Results from these exercises are measurable within days! ![]()
